Frequently Asked Questions

Tales of Graces ƒ? What about Tales of Graces?
Tales of Graces is the 12th main entry in Namco’s Tales series, originally released for the Nintendo Wii in Japan on December 10, 2009. A year after the game’s original release, Namco Bandai  published an enhanced port for the PlayStation 3, featuring extra content. This port, titled, Tales of Graces ƒ, is coming to North America and Europe in 2012!

Some are unhappy because only the PS3 version going to be translated, but due to the game’s extra content, Namco’s overseas teams probably thought it would be best to translate the “complete” version instead of the “beta” released on the Wii.

Is this project official?
This is totally unofficial—this project isn’t connected to Bandai Namco Games in any way, nor is any revenue gained from this. It’s simply because we love the Tales series so much that wanted to express it in the form of visual art! All content that inspires the artworks seen on this blog is © Bandai Namco Games and Mutsumi Inomata. Additionally, the image on the sidebar belongs to Bandai Namco Games and Mutsumi Inomata as well.

Who’s running this blog?
Bella; claims that Sophie’s butt belongs to her
Pico; also called ooh and pico, ships Asbel/Sophie/Richard without knowing anything about the game

I don’t think I’m very good at drawing. Can I still participate?
Of course you can! And you should participate if you want! This countdown blog is about showing how happy we are about the release of Tales of Graces ƒ in non-Japan territories. If you played the original, the port, or if you’re going to pick up the game once it’s released in North America and Europe, consider joining us! It’ll be fun to do while waiting!

Okay, I’ll bite. How do I sign-up to participate?
Check out the submission guidelines!

Hey, the submission guidelines say the countdown is only for the game’s release in North America. What about European fans?
We are going to run a separate countdown for the European release! It’ll be on this blog, but since its release date is later than North America’s, we won’t run the countdown at this time. However, if you know you’ll be interested in submitting art for the second countdown, you can send us a message or email and we’ll keep you in mind. Then we can contact you when we’re accepting participants for the European release countdown! So don’t worry, we didn’t forget you guys!

What does the “ƒ” in Tales of Graces ƒ mean?
It stands for “future”, referencing the port’s biggest feature, a post-game storyline that takes place six months after the original story.

Are we going to be assigned subjects to draw?
Nope. You can draw whomever or whatever you want as long it’s related to Tales of Graces! The submission guidelines page has more information on what kind of content is appropriate.

Isn’t that picture on the side from the cover of the Wii version?
sugarbirds: But I think it’s prettier than the PS3 cover… OwO
