Gosh, all text updates and no art…

But that’s okay, because the countdown begins today! So we’ll start posting later today, but just a reminder to everyone that’s participating—

Please send us your images 2 days (48 hours) before your deadline. So if you have a deadline of March 9th, please send us your image (along with any artist’s commentary) to our email account, gracescountdown at gmail dot com (replace where appropriate).

You don’t need to put a “_ days before Graces is released!” line on your piece if you do not want to, but feel free to do so! Also, the image can be any size (as large as tumblr will allow, anyway) because we will use the photo post function to link the hi-res to the thumbnail. We’ll also include a link to your website as part of the caption, so don’t worry!

If you believe you will have trouble meeting the 2-day-beforehand deadline, but you’ll have it in time, let us know by ask box or by email. If you think you’re not going to make your deadline at all, let us know that too! We won’t be mad, it’s just that a blog like this requires some planning out and so we want to know what’s up.

Sorry, guys! One more text post should do it, hopefully. We re-sent asks out since some tumblr people who wanted to join didn’t get the messages; apparently, tumblr has been eating them more as of late. So if you got a message from us twice, sorry about that! We’ve re-sent and if you asked to join but still haven’t gotten a date from us, email us with your username on tumblr. Thank you for understanding; we’re sorry about this!

Okay, we forgot to post when we did, but all the people who are participating should have gotten their dates right now. Anyone who hasn’t, please send us an ask or email at gracescountdown at gmail dot com along with your username and we’ll send your date(s)! Thanks for understanding.

Okay, everyone! The deadline for entering the countdown for the NA release of Tales of Graces ƒ is today! Please note we still will take people who wish to join, but the deadline is there give participants enough time to prepare—the first piece will be put up on February 28th, 2012.

Participants, please email your piece two days before your given deadline to our email account, gracescountdown at gmail.com (replace ” at ” with @). For example, if your date is March 4th, please send your piece on March 2nd. You can send the piece at any size (well, as large as tumblr will allow) since we’ll be using the photo post option for pictures that will link to a hi-res version of your piece. 

Also, please include your username and any comments you’d like to be featured with the piece!

We’ll send out the deadlines to everyone that’s participating and update this blog with another post when we’ve sent out the dates for everyone who’s participating. If you signed up to participate but you haven’t received a deadline within 24 hours of this post, please email us or message us with your username and how many pieces you said you were going to make

Submission Guidelines (NA Release)

In anticipation of the release of Tales of Graces ƒ in North America, this blog will post Graces-themed artworks for 15 days, running from February 28th, 2012, to March 13th, 2012, the release date! Our goal is to have at least 2-3 pieces posted a day. If you want to participate, that would be awesome! Here are the guidelines for submitting!

• Drop us a message in the Ask Box or by email at gracescountdown @ gmail . com (replace spaces!) with your preferred username and link to your website (if applicable), as well as the number of pieces you’re willing to make for the countdown. 
• We’ll send a reply within 24 hours confirming your participation. If you don’t get a response within that time, please send your request to participate again!
• We’ll accept participants until February 8th, 2012, 20 days before the countdown starts. That day, participants should get an email indicating the deadline(s) for sending us their artwork(s). You can email or ask us if you want to participate after February 8th, but be warned - there won’t be much time to prepare!
• We will send you notices via email or ask as a reminder when the countdown is three days away. 20 days is quite a while, so it might slip your minds!
• Please send us the artwork 48 hours (2 days) before your given deadline. If you can’t send your piece at that point, but you’ll have it finished by your assigned deadline, let us know through the Ask Box or email. If you can’t make it by your given date, tell us that too! We can post your piece on a later date so your work won’t go to waste! (We won’t be mad, we just want to know!)
• Please don’t post your completed piece on any other public forums until it’s been published here. We want it to be a surprise for Tales of Graces and its fans! But it’s totally fine to post WIPs and sketches before your assigned date.
• You may use any medium as long as the work is your own. Traces, vectors, or edits of official art and screens won’t be accepted, sorry! There’s no rule on the subject matter of your pieces, but keep in mind the targeted audience — the more recent Tales games are rated T, so that’s a good guideline as to what content is appropriate. 
• After you’ve been confirmed to participate, you can start on your pieces! Please reblog this link and show this blog to anyone you know that might be interested in participating. Even if you can’t make it, maybe a friend can!
• If you’ve got any questions, send them through tumblr or email, and thanks for stopping by!

These submission guidelines apply to the countdown for the North American release of Tales of Graces ƒ, but don’t worry! We’ll hold another one for the European release, which is slated for the summer of 2012!
